Lavender, Essential Oils Vs. Fragrance Oils

The popularity of lavender has both, reaped rewards for this natural oil, as well as brought about some downside. Its demand has taken on not only for the oil itself, but also its fragrance in particular. It is used in many spas to create a soothing ambiance, and is also a favorite when it comes to home fresheners, incense and the like.

While the lavender fragrance is indeed soothing, the effects you are missing out on outweigh any convenience that mere fragrance can give.

When you apply lavender oil, it is absorbed by the skin and goes in the blood system. This allows it to work from the inside out. It can be used as a massage oil, or may also be mixed into other liquids for other options, like your bath water or as an air freshener.

You can do this by adding some oil on simmering water. This will allow the oil to slowly evaporate, and enter your body through your nose. They can reach your brain through the sinuses and give you an even more relaxing effect that lavender air fresheners cannot match. Air fresheners… only make the air smell nice.
